Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.5
Hollow Lantern is slow in the best way. You wander a moody little town, talk to its odd residents, and piece together what happened to the place. It's light on action and heavy on atmosphere, with hand-drawn art that we kept stopping to look at.
The puzzles woven into the exploration are gentle — usually about noticing something you walked past earlier. Nothing frustrated us, and that fit the calm tone. There's no timer and no fail state, just curiosity pulling you forward.
It's short, maybe four hours, and it doesn't overstay its welcome. If you want something to unwind with rather than to grind, this one stuck with us long after the credits.
